Everything You Need to Know About PENNVEST

Widget Financial is has partnered with the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) to provide access to the PENNVEST Homeowner Septic Program. The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) has teamed with PHFA and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to offer this special funding program. Assistance is available to eligible homeowners who need to repair or replace their individual on-lot septic system OR to connect for the first time to a public sewer system.
To be eligible for this program, borrowers must meet qualifications for ability to repay the loan, be a Pennsylvania resident and a member of Widget Financial. The home in which you would like to receive the loan for must be located in Pennsylvania and also be your primary residence. This loan is eligible for septic repair or replacement, unless a public wastewater collection and treatment system is either in place, or, if one will be constructed within five years. There is also additional underwriting and project criteria that will apply.
Some of the benefits of the loan include a low rate for this vital home improvement. The Fixed Interest rate is 1.75% (APR estimated at 2.303%) for this loan. This loan will help you as a home owner improve the environmental health of your property and avoid or respond to a citation from your municipality. Some other benefits of this loan are: no prepayment penalty, no appraisal/equity required, and no income restrictions.

- Payment Example: A loan of $25,000 for 20 years would be approximately $123.53 per month
